Students in all years and at all levels of understanding are encouraged to take advantage of the tutoring programs offered at Yale. Tutoring is available to all undergraduate students and is free of charge.
Tutoring in science and quantitative reasoning (QR), including economics, is provided through two programs, the Residential College Math and Science Tutoring program and the Science and Quantitative Reasoning Tutoring program.
The Residential College Math and Science Tutoring Program offers tutoring at scheduled times five nights a week in the residential colleges and afternoons in the Science & QR Center, SSS 22. These tutors are available to all Yale College students on a walk-in basis. Tutoring is provided in all areas of math and science as well as in economics.
The Science and QR Tutoring Program offers one-on-one tutoring to students who are experiencing academic difficulty in a specific course. Tutoring is provided in all areas of math and science as well as in economics.
Students are strongly encouraged to have sought and asked for assistance from their instructors/TAs and to have utilized the Residential College Math & Science Tutoring program before seeking an assigned tutor.
