Undergraduate Research in Science and QR Disciplines

The opportunity to carry out original research under the guidance of a faculty member plays a critically important role in the education of students in science and quantitative disciplines.

Yale offers a wide range of opportunities for students to engage in original research. More than 90% of Yale’s science majors perform research for credit during the academic year, often in association with completion of the senior requirement in their majors. Those students who wish to have the experience of full time commitment to research will find that the summer is the best time to do this: several hundred undergraduates perform research at Yale each summer.

Opportunities for undergraduates to engage in research are described on the Yale Undergraduate Research web site.
